Donald Trump dismissed, on Tuesday, September 2, the rumors about his state of health that have been agitating part of social networks in the United States for several days, describing them as "false information" , during an exchange with the press at the White House.
"I haven't seen that," the US president said when a journalist asked him about the rumors circulating on the X and Bluesky platforms.
According to these rumors, the 79-year-old leader's health was failing after not appearing before the media for several days.
"This is false information," said the Republican, who frequently boasts of having iron health .
"There must be something wrong with him."The septuagenarian billionaire then complained that after holding several press conferences early last week, some people said, "There must be something wrong with him," because he had not held any public events for two days.
"It's so wrong," he added, saying he was "very active over the weekend."
After holding a lengthy cabinet meeting last Wednesday in front of the press, Donald Trump did not hold a public event until his appearance in the Oval Office on Tuesday.
But he had been seen traveling for golf games over the weekend.
Visible bruises on the right handIn November, Donald Trump became the oldest person ever elected to the presidency of the United States .
The White House said in July that the visible bruises on the president's right hand were caused by "frequent handshakes" and his taking aspirin as standard cardiovascular treatment.
The US executive also revealed that Donald Trump suffered from chronic venous insufficiency , a widespread and benign condition.
Presidential physician Sean Barbabella wrote at the time that Donald Trump remained "in excellent health."
A heavily painted handAs on many recent occasions, the American president's hand appeared on Tuesday to have been heavily painted.
The health of White House residents is a frequent and widely observed topic of discussion in the United States, but the election of Joe Biden in 2020 and Donald Trump in 2024, both at nearly 80 years old, has given the issue a new dimension.
Donald Trump has frequently accused those close to his predecessor Joe Biden of hiding his cognitive and physical decline during the end of his term.
After a disastrous debate with his Republican rival in June 2024, the former Democratic president was forced to throw in the towel and not run for re-election.
